A great way to learn about fossils is to watch fossil hunters at work and share in the excitement of discovery. This latest Curious About book starts with the fascinating story of Mary Anning, who as a child in 19th-century England collected rocks and shells to sell to tourists and then grew up to be a famous fossil collector and paleontologist who discovered the first ichthyosaur skeleton (a prehistoric marine reptile).
